My October 2017 Reading List

Hello, October!

So much to be excited about this month: an upcoming announcement about Book Three of the Black Wolf Series, diving deeper into work on Book Four of the same, and a HUGE surprise trip at the end of the month for my husband’s 30th birthday. (The destination is the surprise–not the trip. I didn’t just spoil the whole thing by letting the internet in on my secret.)

September wasn’t a total wash on books. It was just a total wash on the only book I had on my list. I dunno. I got bogged down in the kinda seemingly endlessness of the House of Night series and had to back off. I’m still enjoying it, but it’s like if all you eat for a day is brownies. Eventually, you’re going to want a different flavor, even for a little while. Wait…who am I kidding? Why am I not getting in on this whole *Brownies All Day* thing?

So, what did I actually read in September?

  1. Broken & Brave by Savana Jade
  2. Bullets and Bonfires by Autumn Jones Lake

You can find my ratings/reviews for these books over on Goodreads. It would be pretty cool if you take a minute while you’re there to rate Black WolfBorn Wolf, or follow my author page!

And now, if you’ll kindly insert a drumroll here…

My October 2017 Reading List

Officially on the list:

    1. Revealed by P. C. Cast and Kristin Cast — I’m still working my way through this series. I’m freaking determined to finish these damn books in October–preferably before we leave for our trip because I don’t want to tote paperbacks with me.
    2. Redeemed by P. C. Cast and Kristin Cast — Please see #1.

Real talk: I’ve already read more than that this month, and I hope I get time to read more. I’m almost ashamed to admit it, but I only just enrolled in Kindle Unlimited as a reader. When it first came out as a big thing, my life and schedule were a lot different and I wasn’t making the time to read the way I like to. I’ve been reading so much more lately and the market of books on KU has grown way beyond what it was back in the day–especially in the naughty stuff I like to read (don’t judge me).

So, yup. I finally signed up for the trial–and I’ve already scarfed down three books. Yes, I am aware it’s only the fourth day of the month, friend. I said don’t judge me.

I think, based on the books I’ve read, I already broke even (or would have if I weren’t in the free trial period).

I’ll post the whole list of what I get to when I share my November reading list. See? I’m giving ya something to look forward to (mostly a list of trashy novels, but you can get excited anyway).

Your turn: what have you been reading this month?
